Beautiful aromas of cherry and chocolate encircle the nose with a robust body of berry, plum and currant. A long and lush finish follows with hints of molasses.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
I enjoyed Trefethan’s 2010 Merlot Estate, a blend of 87% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Malbec. This dark ruby-colored, tightly knit Merlot exhibits attractive sweet and sour cherry notes intermixed with notions of spice box and earth in its compact, juicy, medium-bodied personality. While not the biggest or richest Merlot I have tasted, it is well-balanced and pleasant. Drink it over the next decade.
