A subtle, complex whisky in which all of the delicate flavors are freely allowed to express themselves.
Medium golden tones, clear and bright in color with rich malt aroma and hints of oak, apple and sherry.
On the palate, smooth and delicate, oak and apple flavors with a fruity finish.
The Glengoyne distillery is situated in a wooded valley in the Southern Highlands of Scotland close to a small river that flows into the famous Loch Lomond.
Like all Malt whiskies, the barley is soaked in water and then spread out on the floor of the malthouse and turned regularly. Usually once germination has taken place it is dried using the smoke from peat fires which imparts an aromatic smoky flavor. This is not the case with Glengoyne Distillery who air dry the barley and so producing “The Real Taste of Malt”.
