"This brilliant wine is dry and tart in acidity, minerally, and supremely refined in Meyer lemons, pears, limes and tart apples. It’s not one of those fat Chardonnays that melts in the mouth, but instead has firm texture and elegant complexity. It makes a beautiful accompaniment to grilled salmon, crab cakes, or a simple but glorious roasted chicken. Don’t drink it too cold."

"Big step up and a brilliant Chardonnay, the 2011 Chardonnay Ashley’s gold/green tinged color is followed by a steely, pure 2011 that has classic white peach, citrus blossom, mineral and white flower-like aromas and flavors as well as a lively, focused and elegant palate. Building in richness in the glass, yet with no loss of focus or purity, it is top flight stuff and, for the quality, is a great value."
