Clover Hill is sourced from pre-eminent vineyards in the Pipers River region of north east Tasmania – an area becoming acknowledged as the premier location for cool climate sparkling wine in Australia.

Since its debut in 1994, with the launch of the 1991 vintage, Clover Hill has impressed both the local and international wine scene with its uncompromising quality and distinguished house style. Previous vintages have collected gold from Adelaide, Perth, Cairns and Hobart wine shows and been awarded trophies from the international show circuit; including the London International Wine & Spirit Competition. Clover Hill 1998 and Clover Hill 1999 were awarded ‘Australasian Sparkling Wine of the Year’ by Winestate.

Clover Hill 2001 is crafted according to traditional champagne methods from classic sparkling wine varietals – chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier. The wine is matured on lees in its bottle for 3 years. It contains components of selected reserve wines aged in French oak foudres – which ensure the unique personality that is the Clover Hill house style. A supreme sparkling wine, Clover Hill 2001 has a crisp, graceful, rich palate with excellent length and lasting flavour – destined to delight.

This wonderful crisp and complex sparkling is drinking superbly now and will continue to develop richness and complexity with careful cellaring over the next 8 years. Best enjoyed with lobster salad.
