"2010 was a very cool vintage with high levels of acidity which protect fragile aromas and give a great backbone to the wine. The growing season allowed the aromatics to be a little less ripe and more subtle and fresh because at no time was the grape burned by heat. The consequences are a well-balanced wine with lower alcohol levels but also include wonderful extraction of great Napa Valley terroir."

The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon is seriously beautiful. A dark, imposing wine, the 2010 wraps around the palate with layers of persistent dark fruit. There is a brooding inner intensity that is highly appealing. Today, the 2010 is very primary, but it should develop nicely and continue to drink well for another decade, perhaps longer. Hints of mocha and espresso add complexity on the racy, expansive finish. The 2010 is 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, 8% Petit Verdot and 8% Merlot. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2022. "
